MasterCard and Holiday

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Syndacast. All opinions are 100% mine.

The best thing about having a Mastercard when you have a wanderlust is that it is sooo easy to book a holiday. You can do so on your own, in any place, anytime, at your own convenience. I have been booking my hotel stays and airfare through my credit card. I usually don't get any promotions. I just do for the sake of convenience.

But today, I discovered that if you are a MasterCard holder, you can enjoy one free night if you use your MasterCadrd to book for your Accor Hotel accommodation. That would mean you get to stay for 3 nights when you book for 2 nights stay at the hotel. There are 188 participating Accor Hotels and that would include Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Grand Mercure, Novotel, Mercure, ibis and All Seasons. Wow. MasterCard Cardholder - Exclusive Deal is just an amazing deal.

I would usually book for bed and breakfast stay and avoid booking for chain hotels because even though chain hotels have promotions, it's still expensive to stay. But when you get a promotion of extended one night stay, it's all worth it.

And, take note of this: if you book now, you can get a chance to win a 3 night stay in a private villa at the 5-star Pullman Sanya Yalong Bay Resort! Awesome. There are 10 prizes to be won.

Why don't you try booking now using your MasterCard. You might get a chance to win another holiday. Who knows this could be your Christmas gift for this year... :D

Christmas Shopping

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Dirt Devil. All opinions are 100% mine.

One year has come and gone. It is now December again. When you hear the word December, there are a few things that come to our mind. One: the birth of Jesus Christ. All Christians all over the world observe and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Two: Parties. Since there's celebration, you can be sure that there's gonna be party everywhere. Three: Shopping. Yes, there's shopping everywhere and apparently, all shops will have holiday sale, discounts, offers, promos. etc.

Christmas shopping is fun. But it can be stressful if you're on a budget and if you have no idea what to buy for your family. Also, if you're not into standing in queues just to pay for your shopping, and if you hate the crowd and it makes it tiring to walk around looking for things to shop, you should check out Dirt Devil buying guide. It would certainly be stress free if one can obtain a buying guide, especially if you're looking into having savings while doing shopping. It certainly is great of we can save from shopping.

Shopping online can guarantee you of savings. First - you don't need to use your car which needs petrol to go to shopping stores. You don't need to use plastic bags - which is environmentally friendly. For shoppers, there is indeed an online shopping shortcuts. Also, when using Dirt Devil shopping guide, there's a possibility of getting discounts, vouchers, coupons, etc. Dirt Devil shopping guide has a list of online shops which you can check out and compare. There are shops available for shopping for everybody in your shopping list. They also talk about 300 ways to save while shopping online. 300 is indeed a lot of ways.

All these shopping talks just remind me to start doing my shopping list so that when the hubby comes back from out of the country trip, we can start doing our Christmas shopping already.

All About Charter's Ultra 60 Mbps Service

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Charter. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love taking photos of places, food and people everywhere I go. I would usually post them in my blogs straight away. But sometimes, when the internet service is slow, I would have to hold up for a while and wait again until the internet service is fast again. This is just one of the internet woes for us bloggers. Sometimes, we get headache just by uploading pictures because it tend to get really really slow.

Another area which can bring frustration is when you want to download music or movies online. If you don't have one of those faster bandwidth, it can really get to your nerves when you try to download.

But then again, probably that's because we never knew about this charter ultra fast 60 Mbps service.

This is a new service by Charter. I have read that the service started in Saint Louis and it was such a big hit that right now, they're starting it in Southern California and rolling all over the United States. I think, with a fast service as this, there will be no more future for dsl as people would want to subscribe to a faster cable internet technology. Of course, with our fast paced living standard nowadays, it's natural that we want everything fast.

I just wish this service would come to my area soon too... real fast.

Hotel Bookings On Sale

As a frequent traveler from Asia, I am always on the lookout for cheap accommodations and cheap flights. Indeed, internet has helped a lot in the sense that you can actually find the accommodation and the flight you are looking for because there are just millions of information available online. There are a lot of cheap accommodations available when you book online but I think it is rare that you can find some hotel bookings that are on sale.

Take, for example, if you're planning on having a holiday somewhere in Asia Pacific, do you know that you can easily find a cheap accommodation online? I am not kidding! If you're going on a travel in between December 2009 and April 2010, you may now avail the Accor Hotels 3-Day Super Sale Asia Pacific. Yes, especially if you make your bookings on 27th - 30th October, 2009. There are over one million room nights that will be on sale, with rates starting as low as US$30 per night. Isn't that an awesome deal? Why wait if you can book an online sale now and have a big savings?

I don't mind staying in a 30$-accommodation per night, you know. The family is planning on going for another vacation. I might do my bookings at Accor Hotel if they're still on sale. I think they do this regularly. Last year, I found that Accor Hotels had a sale. So I am hoping they would have another sale next year for our planned vacation.

Charter On Demand

One of the most memorable things we can do as a family is when we do things together. We eat at the table together, we go to the park together, we watch movies together, etc. There's nothing like spending time with your family. And speaking of watching movies together... we do this very often. Both my husband and I try to watch movies with our kids, especially on Fridays because then the kids can sleep in the next day because it's a Saturday.

Sometimes, it's hard to get movies though. It's very challenging to go to a dvd rental shop just to browse which movies you wanna rent. And we can't afford to buy movies in original dvd's sometimes. Good thing there's this Charter onDemand where you can choose and watch thousands of movies. The exciting thing about charter ondemand is that you can pause, rewind, forward, the movie. So when you're out there preparing for some snacks with your family, you won't miss anything. If you're interested with Charter onDemand, you can learn more at You can also get updates and fun extras on Charter’s Facebook page. Why don't you check it out?

Are You Ready for the New NFL Season?

I don't get to watch NFL too often but everytime I do, I would surely be stuck until the end of the game. Now that the new NFL is coming, I wonder who would make it to the top players. Since I am a fan of whoever is the top player, I can name a few who made it to my favorite top three players, in order. I would take Adrian Peterson, of RB, Minnesota Vikings who is unquestionably the top running back from 2007 draft. Second would be JaMarcus Russell, QB, Oakland Raiders mainly because of his big arms. Who can fight against those big arms of his? LOL.

Third would be Brady Quinn, QB, Cleveland Browns because he's so young and yet he made his way into NFL. He plays for Browns since 2007.

Talking about NFL players make me wonder if my son, one day, would make to any of the Football Leagues. LOL. But for all those NFL fans outhere who's just can't wait to see the results, you should check out and sign up for WaiverWire and be the first to is the most comprehensive source for fantasy football rankings, projections, drafting software, news, stats, and analysis to help you win your fantasy league.

Travel Blog Template

I have finally made my own travel blog header. It's so hard to find a travel blog template that suits my travel blog. I have finally sat down and created my header. There is still some glitches though. I would have to edit it when I have time... next time.

I have put back my photos on the left side bar... but only Malaysia photos. Need to upload the International photos I took... so I can put label that way.

So far, so good. Am happy with my travel blog template now.

Long Break

Seems that I have taken a long break from posting in this blog. I still have a lot of photos to post from our recent Macau-Hongkong-China trip. I have only posted photos of Macau and Hong Kong. I haven't posted the photos I took in China yet. Will have to take time to post them. I loved my time in China. The kids loved China too.

We are moving house soon. So I'll probably just wait until we're settled then I will come back here and post our China Photos.

Hong Kong - The Peak

Victoria Peak is the highest point of the whole of Hong Kong Island. There are modern malls, restaurants, museums, theatres and various recreational facilities. The spectacular view of Hong Kong with stunning skyline and dazzling neon makes you feel dazzled.

I took several photos of Hong Kong skyline from different angles. These were the best angles I could take. It was foggy when we reached there that's why the photo is a bit blur.

But at night, when the lights were on, it looks like this: really dazzling.

Hubby's friends met us at The Peak and took us at The Peak Lookout Restaurant. The prices of the food was also sky high. I had spring chicken for RM100+ which was the cheapest. Good thing it was a treat from hubby's friends. LOL.
The best way to enjoy the ultimate Peak experience is Peak Tram Sky Pass, offering you enjoyment of a trip on the famous Peak Tram and the fabulous panoramic views of Hong Kong from The Sky Terrace, the highest 360° viewing platform in Hong Kong. With the Peak Tram Sky Pass, you can enjoy more Peak experiences at a special price sold at Garden Road Peak Tram Lower Terminus or appointed travel agents.

Prices of the tickets to the peak tram and skyway pass:

Return Single
Adult HK$ 48 HK$ 37
Child (age 3 - 11)
Senior (age 65 or above)
HK$ 23 HK$ 16

Perching on The Peak at 396 metres above sea level, The Peak Tower is one of the most stylish architectural icons in Hong Kong. With an avant-garde design representing the epitome of modern architecture, the spectacular tower has been featured in millions of photographs and postcards across the world. It was very dark when we came down here so the photo wasn't very clear. I was on top or terrace of this tower when I took shots of the Hong Kong skyline.

Hong Kong - The Peak Tram

One of the highlights we had when we were in Hong Kong was at Victoria Peak. I discovered there were few ways to get to The Peak:

1. By car or cab. You can drive straight to the Peak.

2. Take a bus straight to the peak.

3. Take a bus and stop at the foot of the Peak and take the Peak Tram. We took the double-decker bus that didn't have a roof at the top. We took the bus that would take us to the Peak Tram and sat on top.

The Peak Tram:

Can you imagine waiting for the peak tram with this crowd?

The venerable Peak Tram is, as most passengers agree, the only way to truly experience the beauty of Hong Kong's natural wonders. Tens of millions of people from every corner of the globe have taken the ride, which affords a uniquely spectacular perspective of the city.

View from the peak tram

Hong Kong - Harbour View

Harbour View from Victoria Park or Causeway Bay.

The harborfront show starts at 8:00 pm.

I actually wasn't that impressed. I was expecting something else. But time spent with family and friends at the harbour front was priceless.

Hong Kong - Disneyland

I took a lot of photos when the family visited Disneyland. In fact, I took hundreds of them. SO it's pity if I don't show even just a small portion of it. Here they are:

Entrance to Disneyland

We visited with our friends. It made it more fun because we were with other people.

Micky skateboarding in the background.

Disneyland Band

At Tomorrow Land

We took the "space shuttle" ride.

We were treated to a High School Musical show.

Samantha danced with one of the dancers

This is sleeping Beauty Castle

The kids had a blast going through the Winnie the Pooh Adventure house.

Of course, the parents had fun too. It was magical inside.

Cinderella Carousel.

We went to see the Mickey's Philhar Magic. The kids loved it. When the show was over, Samantha said "One More Time! One More Time." So we stayed back to see one more time, ignoring the staff that told us where the exit was. LOL.

Went to a river cruise and truly enjoyed it.

After the river cruise, we went to see another show: The Festival of the Lion King. It was an awesome show.

Went to another show called "The Golden Mickeys, Storybook Theater"

The kids saw Micky and Minnie performed and other cartoon characters like Goofy, Pluto, etc.

The Toy Story performed as well.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Beauty and the Beast. The beast here has changed features already.

The Finale, everyone joined in.

Then we visited "It's a Small World After All" where they showcase the children from different countries by continent.

Of course, there was Philippines as well (Did I tell you every country in the world?). :D

Hawaii and a lot lot more.

Our Disneyland Trip ended with Magical Fireworks show at the Sleeping Beauty Castle. It was truly magical. Now Micky and Minnie are very famous in the household. LOL.

How much is the entrance fee to the Disneyland?

One Day ticket for adult = 350 HK$
One Day Ticket for kids (3-11) = 250 HK$
For Senior Citizens (56 years and above) = 170 HK$

Enjoy a full day of Disney magic and adventure with a One-Day Ticket. Purchase tickets online now! Tickets can also be purchased at the Hong Kong Disneyland Main Entrance, or at Ticket Express, located at the MTR Hong Kong Station in the Tung Chung Line Concourse.

We wanted to go to The Ocean Park - Hong Kong but they said it's more for adults. So we missed that one. We will go there when the kids are grown up a little. :D

I have more photos to show next time. SO watched out for them!
